A welcome reception will be held at the Bakken Museum on the first day of the conference (Monday, June 25, 2018) from 6-9pm.  The Bakken Museum is located in a historic mansion overlooking Lake Bde Maka Ska in Minneapolis.  The Museum has a library of 11,000 books, journals, and manuscripts on the history of electricity and magnetism with a focus on their roles in the life sciences and medicine.  These include first edition print books written by Benjamin Franklin, Alessandro Volta, and Luigi Galvani, among others. The Museum also contains rare collections of approximately 2,500 medical device artifacts and electro-medical ephemera from the 18th century to the present.
